Defensive Driving/Driver Improvement Education

First thing that will strike in all of our mind why would we need to attend a Defensive Driving Program if already have a driver’s license?

There are many reasons why one would attend a driving program. Such program is called defensive driving or driver improvement.

The main reason to join in driver education classes at one of our defensive driving program in Alberta is to learn how to drive defensively. Defensive driving means that you are careful on the road and are always aware of what is happening around you. It is the goal of the instructors to make sure that you have all the instruction necessary for you to be a responsible driver once you graduate from our program.

The safety measures that are stressed in driving program include issues regarding:
1. Speed is one of the major causes of traffic accidents. Most of the drivers who are guilty of speeding have not been taught by professional driving instructors. We teach students how to follow the speed limit at all times.

2. You learn that you keep your eyes on the road at all times. Quite often this is hard to do when you have passengers in the vehicle with you. Through the classes you take at our driving schools you learn how to reduce distractions so that you can devote your full attention to being a careful driver.

3. Staying in good health is another fact that is stressed in driver education classes. Students learn how fatigue can affect your driving ability and that when they feel tired they should stop and rest.

4. Signs and speed limits are posted for a reason. Students are taught that they must be followed at all times.

Since all drivers do take a defensive driving course, including drivers who are very aggressive. Part of the education you receive an Alberta Course Completion Certificate.
